The ISPLR's low slung floor design allows scating at a slight recline lowing the center of gravity well below the waterline, increasing stability in rough waters while providing full back and arm support for added comfort. The weather tight conopy is supported above and away from the head by an inflatable arch tube, providing additional headroom and ventilation when the canopy is closed -- adding to comfort and reducing the chances of seasickness claustrophobia commonly experienced in conventional one-man rafts.

Well--placed equipment stowage pockets allow the ISPLR to be fully equipped with personal safety items. With the sea anchor deployed, The ISLPR is designed to float downwind -- allowing the canopy to remain unzipped except during extreme weather conditions.
